A quick reminder of and request for safe journey to the 2003 Annual Meeting of the SVDP in Atlanta this week. The 89th National SVdP Meeting.
Atlanta. September 3-6, 2003.
Y’all Come!

Spiritual Emphasis, Innovative workshops
As much as Vincentian ministry strives to transform the lives of those who come to the Society for assistance, it is our own lives that are changed as we grow spiritually through service to others. It is in the spirit of compassion, caring and service – Frédéric’s Spirit- that we invite you join us in Atlanta for the 89th National Meeting.

We in Atlanta, in collaboration with the National Office, have put a lot of thought into this meeting’s content. We wanted to maximize the practical informational and inspirational aspects while incorporating the goals of the National Strategic Plan. The result is an emphasis on the spiritual, and a full schedule of workshops that relate to the goals.

There will be a chapel set up onsite for Perpetual Adoration, the Rosary as well as for celebrating Mass. We’ll also have some innovative workshop activities, such as a trip to the Martin Luther King Jr. Center, to explore social justice issues. At our reception, held at the Jimmy Carter Presidential Library, people will not only enjoy excellent food but also have an opportunity to tour the Library and connect with the work and life of our most recent Nobel Peace Prize winner.
