The SDVP (Society of St. Vincent DePaul) reached the shores of Karachi in 1869 and St. Patrick’s was the first to set up a conference which was then attached to the Council of Bombay. In 1947 there were just 4 conferences this expanded to 14 in 1960.
With the introduction of twinning scheme the society has now achieved a new impetus and grew from strength to strength. the Twining Scheme was introduced by Bros. Herber Bolan and Brian Dualtra. Today there are over 240 Conferences scattered all over Pakistan with over 2500 Vincentians (members).

Besides doing the basic work for visiting and laying food on the table, we also give out rations to needy, sick and less fortunate people.

Our work includes, Homes for the Aged, Homes for the Orphans, Orphanages, Clinics, Child Care Cenrtres, Feeding Programme, Junk Collection, Adult Literacy Centre, tuition Centre, Sewing Centre, Primary Education and more.
