In such a confused period for humanity, the International Council General of the Society of Saint Vincent de Paul, together with its 600.000 members present in more than 130 countries on the 5 continents, conscious of the tragic consequences of all wars, fully associates with the Holy Father’s concern, prayers and recommendations.

May all men and women, of all origins, confessions and opinion commit in having peace reign around them, not through weapons but through their good will.

May political leaders seek actively to establish and to maintain lasting peace in the world, not through war but through diplomacy and through any possible means.
