Discussion the two proposals for the reconfiguration of the five American ProvincesAt the National Convocation, confreres discussed the two proposals (One United States Province and a Confederation of United States Provinces) for the reconfiguration of the five American Provinces and offered their input to CUSAV for its recommendation to the Superior General on reconfiguration. After the discussion on reconfiguration, the survey forms for individual confreres were presented to Fr. Robert Maloney, C.M. (Superior General) at the Eucharist.

The Visitors have agreed on a structured process that every Provincial and Council as well as CUSAV will follow to make its recommendation to the Superior General on reconfiguration. The process will rely on the input given by confreres throughout the process, e.g., reports from house meetings and regional or provincial meetings, input given at the USA Joint Provincial Council Meeting and the National Convocation, etc.

The Superior General and his Council will use the survey forms for individual confreres and the recommendations from each Provincial and Council and CUSAV to make a decision on reconfiguration. Fr. Maloney will then write to the confreres in the United States about his decision as well as the results of the consultation.
