Places of Frederic Ozanam 14 – No. 38 Rue Saint-Sulpice

iI was at No 38 of the current Rue Saint-Sulpice − previously Rue Petit-Bourbon Saint-Sulpice − that, on 23 April 1833, Emmanuel Bailly welcomed Frédéric Ozanam and his friends, François, Jules, Auguste, Félix and Paul. This meeting founded the first “Charity Conference.”

At one point in his life, prior to 1844, Frederic Ozanam taught three classes to seniors there each week to enhance his meager salary.
