ANSWER TO TRIVIA QUESTION #3: (Cracker Jack) (In 1871 German immigrant Frederick William Rueckheim began selling a popcorn snack on a Chicago street corner. Customers loved his confection but not the stickiness of the caramel. That problem was resolved when Fred’s brother Louis invented a secret process that kept caramel dry and crispy. Around this time, Louis offered the popcorn-peanuts- caramel mixture to a salesman who declared “That’s a crackerjack!” – a popular slang term meaning very good. Fred and Louis liked the term and named their product Cracker Jack. The new popcorn snack made its debut in the 1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition. In 1908, Cracker Jack was immortalized by lyricist Jack Norwith in the song “Take me out to the ballgame.” In 1912 a small toy was included in each box. The logo of a boy named Sailor Jack with his dog Bingo appeared during WW1. Today Cracker Jack is made using its original formula. (Source: Encyclopedia.com))
