The Vincentian Family Celebrates the Feast of St. Vincent de Paul
On September 27, feast of St. Vincent de Paul, the various branches of the Vincentian Family Worldwide prepare for the celebration of this important date in many ways. Where there is a Community of the Congregation of the Mission, where there is a group of AIC (International Association of Charities of St. Vincent de Paul), SSVP (Society of St. Vincent de Paul), VMY (Vincentian Marian Youth), AMM (Association of the Miraculous Medal) or MISEVI (Vincentian Lay Missionaries), or any other branch inspired by our founder… the feast of St. Vincent de Paul is always lived with joy, depth, fraternity and creativity.
To remember St. Vincent de Paul means “to keep in our heart,” with affection and gratitude, our father and founder. It also means refocusing our gaze on the enormous work he did for and with the poor and socially excluded. It means to incarnate, with prophetic dynamism, his liberating and healing charism. And it means that his memory becomes a commitment to integral evangelization for today.
How are you celebrating this great feast? Tell it to the whole Vincentian Family Worldwide. You can do it right here, in the comments section (a little below these lines), or on our Facebook.
