Today, April 23, is Frederic Ozanam’s birthday (1813) and also the founding date of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (1833). This video, produced by the SVdP USA, lets you experience the sights and sounds of being in Paris for the beatification ceremony which took place during the World Youth Days, 1997. It is even more poignant since it takes place at the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, which of course later caught fire in April 2019.
