On Wednesday, February 12, Pope Francis published the Post-Synodal Apostolic Exhortation, “Beloved Amazon” … this document is the fruit of the Synod on the Amazon which took place in Rome (October 6-27, 2019).

The document outlines new paths for evangelization and for caring for the environment and those people who are poor. Pope Francis desires a new missionary impulse and highlights the role of the laity in the ecclesial community.

The Pontiff divides his exhortation into four thematic sections: a social dream, a cultural dream, an ecological dream, an ecclesial dream.
