On November 2 and 3, the Council General International of the SSVP is organizing workshops for the territorial delegates responsible for two strategic areas: Special Projects and Formation & Training. The event will take place at the La Salle Arlep Center, in Madrid (Spain).

The workshop provides talks and open discussions among those present. The objective is to share common knowledge among the participants, analyze the current situation of each area and propose projects and improvements for the future. The Terms of Reference of each function, the strategic planning of the Council General and the goals until the end of the mandate will be studied (2022).

A total of 24 territorial delegates will participate in the event, with 12 for Formation & Training and 12 for Special Projects, as well as other local guests. These delegates act in close collaboration with the International Territorial Vice Presidents (VPTIs).

The meeting of the territorial delegates of Formation & Training will be led by our sister Marisa Téllez (Spain), International Vice-president of Formation. The meeting of the territorial delegates of Special Projects will be led by our brother Maurice Yeung (Hong Kong), International Vice-president of Special Projects.

The 16th President General, our fellow brother Renato Lima, will be one of the international speakers, addressing the theme “Vision of the future of the General Council”. “God willing, I hope this workshop is a great success and that the territorial delegates can return to their countries with a lot of motivation, full of new ideas, encouraged and committed more and more to the growth of the SSVP, in quality and quantity”, stressed our President.

The liturgical celebrations will take place in the parish of Our Lady of Covadonga, near the La Salle Arlep Center.

The Council General International thanks, from the heart, the National Council of Spain, in the person of our brother Juan Manuel Buergo (national president) who, with the support of a competent and operative work team, has been taking care of the reception, logistics and general organization of the workshop. We ask everyone’s prayers for the success of this event for the best fulfillment of the purposes of our SSVP.
