Executive Director – Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat
Located in Ft. Mitchell, Alabama just across the river from Columbus, GA, the sacred site of the first home of The Missionary Servants of the Most Blessed Trinity (MSBT) houses the Blessed Trinity Shrine Retreat (BTSR). Our rural center is surrounded by 1200 acres of woodlands providing solitude from the fast-paced, hectic day-to-day life in our world today. This setting allows retreatants an opportunity to commune with God among trees, wooded paths and the sounds of birds along the Chattahoochee River. Our modern, air conditioned facilities, provide retreat space for Catholic, Protestants and others who wish to seek God. There are 40 individual rooms in the main center, two Hermitages and one medium sized Pilgrim House meeting space.
We are seeking an Executive Director to embrace and convey the mission of MSBT through collaboration and leadership of Sisters and staff in managing the overall direction of the Retreat Center. This is a unique opportunity where the Retreat Center leadership is transferring from religious to lay personnel with the goal of employing creative marketing approaches to enhance the utilization of the Retreat Center. We offer a comprehensive compensation package including health care as well as an opportunity to live ‘on-site’ if desired.
The successful candidate will have a BS in business or other related field with previous experience managing a retreat center or religious-based institution. Experience developing and executing strategic plans as well as managing operational budgets is required. Demonstrated skill creating effective marketing strategies utilizing both written and digital materials is essential. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are required to develop strong spiritual and business alliances/partnerships with the local religious communities with a willingness to embrace the MSBT charism. We require a faith-filled, practicing Catholic with a deep appreciation of spiritual development.
