Ladies of Charity: Serving With Vincentian Creativity
As part of their communications plan for the 400th Anniversary Jubilee Year, the Ladies of Charity USA have produced a five-part video documentary. Filmed and edited by Joan Ball and Martin Dominguez Ball, this project was made possible by generous donors who covered travel and other costs.
The following video, Serving With Vincentian Creativity, highlights several projects of the Ladies of Charity from across the United States. Notice the collaboration between the Ladies of Charity (LOC) and other branches of the Vincentian Family, particularly the Daughters of Charity. And, in a segment with Bishop Emeritus Howard J. Hubbard of Albany, learn about some of the ways that the LOC extend their efforts beyond serving the immediate needs of the poor, through advocacy.
May these examples inspire others in the Vincentian Family to undertake similar initiatives, or spark new ideas for existing projects!
Beautifully done video showing a wide range of services by the Ladies of Charity in various parts of the country–their care for the poor is so evident here. Thank you, Ladies. God bless each of you in the 400th anniversary year of our Vincentian charism.
