The Sacrament of the Bloody Palm
Jihad terror struck the Coptic Christian community in Egypt on Sunday, April 9, Palm Sunday. Two successive bomb attacks caused dozens of deaths and more than a hundred wounded persons in two Coptic churches of Alexandria and Tanta, in the north of the country.
At the beginning of the most important Week for all Christians, the image of the bloody palm is a sacrament of what we will celebrate in these days: God’s triumph over death, and the triumph of our brothers, dead because of fanaticism, martyrs of faith.
Let us pray for all of them and for all persecuted Christians in the world. God is our hope: we trust in Him and we put the lives of those who were killed, simply for believing in Jesus, into His hands.
