The Renewal of the .famvin Digital Network
The two-year plan for the renewal of the .famvin Digital Network is scheduled for completion at the end of June. Today, we announce one of the final steps in the process.
For the last two years, we have been strengthening formation resources, and building an extensive presence on social media. To build that presence, we mounted a special section called “social” on famvin.org. Our presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram is strongly established and growing. Thank you for your participation and your sharing of Vincentian events and resources.
On April 2, the social section of famvin.org, now unnecessary, will cease operations. We will continue to publish articles about the use of social media, best practices and new ideas.
A feature that saw little use was “Virtual Vins,” an early project of famvin.org that was begun when social media collaboration was new. Its function has been replaced by Facebook groups, Google+, Google Hangouts, Skype and other resources. This section of our website, too, will be shutting down, along with the VirtualVins Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Thank you for your participation in this process.
