Sharing Experience Is Collaboration Too
A meeting with extramural (correspondent) students (studying family consulting and catechetics as major) from the Institute of St. Thomas Aquinas and took place in the “God’s Gift” House in Kiev. Volunteers from Vincentian Family, Sisters of Mary of Miraculous Medal, and Vincentian Fathers shared their experience in carrying charity projects and talked about activities of their organizations. They also talked about the spirituality and charism of St. Vincent de Paul.
We shared not only our experience, but also hospitality, kindness sincerity in service, openness to learning, willingness to collaborate and develop. Following the example of St. Vincent de Paul, they showed, that in charity works it is important to work in groups (do not be “soloists”), continuously and systematically organized.
The visitors of “God’s Gift” House appreciated work of Vincentian Family volunteers and they became the first buyers at our Easter Fair.
