Nightstop provides a bed for the night for young people who need it, in a moment of crisis.
Providing a safety net to those forced to leave their home, Nightstop places young people in a safe and warm home for the night, provided by a vetted and approved volunteer.
It prevents young people from sleeping rough, “sofa surfing,” or staying in unsuitable accommodation where they would be at risk ofĀ abuse. The use of spare rooms in a positive environment makes a huge difference to young people in crisis.
Nightstop UK is a network ofĀ 33 accredited Nightstop servicesĀ throughout the UK – each providing safe emergency accommodation in volunteers’ homes for homeless young people aged from 16 to 25.
Communities and charities run Nightstop around the UK. As well as coordinating the network, Depaul UK runs the them in the North East, London and Oldham.
