Earth Day is celebrated annually on April 22 (this coming Friday) and events worldwide are held to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First celebrated in 1970, it is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network, and celebrated in more than 193 countries each year.

Below, you will find a prayer service for Earth Day (April 22)  2016 from the perspective of Vincentian-Setonian spirituality. Also attached is the first issue of the Charity Earth Network News. The Charity Earth Network is a new effort of the members of the Sisters of Charity Federation to share on the relationship between the Vincentian-Setonian charism and issues of ecospirituality and sustainability.  The CEN currently has over 100 members – sisters, associates and collaborators.
