Now on Social: Google Hangouts
Google hangouts makes sharing information on successful projects and collaborations a must for the Vincentian Family. The non-profit and the business world have been using them for a while now, and with great impact.
Here’s how “ONE” announced one of its Google Hangouts:
To continue that dialogue, we are teaming together with Women Thrive to host a Google+ Hangout: Teach a Woman to Fish: Economic Opportunities for Women in the Developing World. Join ONE and Women Thrive Tuesday, September 30th at 11:00am EST on ONE’s Google+ page for an intimate conversation with Women Thrive co-founder Ritu Sharma.
Ritu will be joined by an expert panel including Barret Ward, founder FashionABLE, Relebohile Moletsane, Echidna Global Scholar at The Brookings Institute and Edith Jibunoh, Civil Society Advisor External and Coorporate Relationships, World Bank for a look at how women are changing the face of poverty in the developing world.
But we missed it! But that doesn’t matter. Google hangouts can record the entire session and make it available on your YouTube channel. We try our best at .famvin to get you information about successful collaborations for systemic change, but imagine the impact across the Vincentian world if you brought people together to understand the genesis and execution of your project?
Just listen to the richness that was captured on Google Hangouts. It’s a little rocky at first, but worth the persistence!
Here’s a “How to” on Google Hangouts. There may be some variations, as Google Hangouts is always expanding features.
