The Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life named Fr. Robert Maloney CM, former Superior General, as a member of the Visitation Team to the Religious houses in Ireland replacing Archbishop Joseph Tobin C.Ss.R.
March 31, 2010 Pope Benedict XVI announced an Apostolic Visitation of certain dioceses in Ireland, as well as seminaries and religious houses, “to assist the local Church on her path of renewal”.

Father Maloney has my poor prayers. The Lord grant success to his work. From reading this post one can get the impression that Father Maloney is replacing Archbishop Joseph Tobin as Secretary of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life. While I’d love to see Father Maloney become a bishop, it looks to me that he is replacing Archbishop Tobin as visitor, given that the latter just became Secretary of that same Congregation.
Apologies for the confusion.
I hope the slight revised post clarifies matters.
Congratulations to fr. Robert maloney, CM. When will such visitations take place in Africa and especially in Kenya to strengthen the vincentian missions and conferences.
