“Walking together with Mary and Saint Vincent” is the theme of the upcoming international meeting of the branches of the Vincentian Family (Ladies of Charity, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Daughters of Charity, Miraculous Medal Association, Vincentian Volunteers, MinuKids, etc.), open to all vincentians, friends, benefactors, and anyone else interested. This event will take place in Miami from June 30 to July 2, 2023.

Goals

  • To make known the relevance and strength of the charism of St. Vincent de Paul today, embodied in the ministry of thousands of lay and consecrated volunteers who serve Christ in the most disadvantaged, through projects of help, promotion, accompaniment, integral service, education, humanitarian assistance and others, nationally and internationally.
  • To invite men and women of good will to learn about the depth and scope of the service of this spiritual family and to join it, either as volunteer members or by financially supporting existing projects inside and outside the United States in favor of vulnerable populations.

To whom is it addressed?

All people of good will who want to know and deepen the spirituality of the organized charity of St. Vincent de Paul and wish to be associated with the Vincentian Family to support projects and social works in favor of the most vulnerable people of society, inside and outside the United States.

What will we do during the meeting?

  • Pray and celebrate the faith, as a people who believe and build a more fraternal world from the experience of the works of mercy.
  • Get to know an innovative and current spirituality that involves serving Jesus Christ in the person of the most vulnerable, following the example of St. Vincent de Paul.
  • To get to know the different groups of Vincentian volunteers, with a vast trajectory of service, present in the five continents through aid projects or social works.
  • Discover the origins of the oldest volunteer groups in the Catholic Church, which have been serving the most vulnerable for more than 400 years.
  • Support social works in favor of children, families, migrants, the elderly, the homeless, and others, in their countries of origin in Latin America and the Caribbean or in other countries of the world, since the Vincentian Family is present in the five continents.
