“We are called to honor the cross, present in all kinds of suffering”

On August 3, the “Ángel de Amor” [Angel of Love] Foundation received a visit from the Daughters of Charity who live in Guápiles, Pococí, Costa Rica. They visited the residence’s facilities and talked with the residents of the foundation. They are people in situations of homelessness and abandonment, with and without physical and mental disabilities. Users showed their appreciation for the sisters’ visit. Similarly, we appreciated this moment of sharing with each of the Lay Missionaries Sons of Saint Louise de Marillac at the service of our masters and lords, the poor.

The members of Angel of Love Foundation, “Social Works Saint Vincent de Paul and Saint Louise de Marillac,” form a family, both users and members of “Hijos de Santa Luisa” [Children of Saint Louise]. Sister Xiomara and Sister Marina told us about the Daughters of Charity charisma, and advised us. At 3 in the afternoon, we all prayed together the rosary to the Divine Mercy, that is prayed daily at the residence. Later we shared coffee and a delicious homemade cake. At the end of the visit, they said goodbye to each one of us and put us in their prayers, thanking God for the blessing of sharing this day with us.
