Bronze Cross of Merit for a Daughter of Charity in Poland

by | Dec 2, 2018 | Daughters of Charity, News

The Ostrołęka county office of the Mazovian Voivodeship Board of Education has organized an annual ceremony on the occasion of National Education Day. During that ceremony teachers and educational employees from several neighboring counties received awards and prizes. The ceremony took place in Ostrów Mazowiecka on October 11 this year.

It is an occasion to commend and reward the work of educational personnel for their hard work and dedication to children and young people.

Among those who received awards was a Daughter of Charity of Saint Vincent de Paul from the Province of Warsaw, Sister Dorota Lesiewicz, DC. She received the Bronze Cross of Merit from the President of Republic of Poland, Andrzej Duda. She was accompanied by Sister Anna from the Provincial House in Warsaw, who joyfully took part in the ceremony.

May the beautiful witness of the ministry of Sister Dorota and the other educational ministers contribute to the spiritual and social good of children and youth.
