Today is the third week of publishing a little biography of the Team who works for the Vincentian Family in the VFO. We hope sharing our stories will make it easier for you to contact us with your valuable information. Together we can make collaborative ministry a hallmark of Vincentian Family ministry for and with those we serve.

Today we introduce Sr. Francely Perez, from Central America. Enjoy learning who we are, where we came from,  and our ministries before serving at the Office.

Sr. Francely Perez, DC

Sister Francely Perez joined the Vincentian Family Office (VFO) in September 2016 as Assistant Coordinator. She was born and raised in Guatemala City. Since 1994 she has been a Daughter of Charity in the Province of Central America. Sr. Francely has served in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras in a variety of educational and pastoral ministries: Religious Education, Catechesis, Vice Principal, Parish Pastoral,  Vincentian Marian Youth Advisor, Provincial Vocation Director, and Provincial Assistant Secretary. Moreover, she helped to develop the Religious Curriculum for Primary and Secondary schools in her Province. She also was a member of  Oscar Romero Catholic Committee in San Miguel, El Salvador and a member of  Justice, Peace, and Integrity of Creation  (JPIC) of the Conference of Religious of Guatemala (CONFRES).

Since arriving in Philadelphia at the VFO, Sr. Francely’s main responsibilities include

  • updating the Vincentian Family data base of over 200 branches
  • uploading news to the VFO website and social networks
  • mapping the Vincentian Family around the world
  • working with the National Councils of the regions of The Caribbean, Brazil, Europe, and Spanish/Portuguese languages in Africa
  • creating a Vincentian Spirituality Curriculum for primary and secondary schools

Sr. Francely is also a member of New Sanctuary Movement (NSM) in Philadelphia which accompanies and defends the rights of immigrants.
