“I would love to tell everyone about Jesus, but in this situation I cannot,” she said. “However, in this work, what you do is more important that what you say, and people see what we do.” writes a Daughter of Charity caring for 60 severely physically and mentally disabled children in an Israeli home.

It’s almost 19 years since I was received by Daughters of Charity in Haifa. All the time I keep their hospitality in front of my eyes. It was very motivating and encouraging to see Sisters working among handicapped children and elderly always with smile on their faces. And was surprising that the premises, in downtown Haifa (in German district), close to Catholic church and port, dated from Queen Victoria and Turkish occupation served the most in need. Haifa itself is unique place where Jews, Arabs, Druze and Christians can live and work peacefully.
Thank you Sisters for your presence there and your quiet, abundant ministry to the poor.
