Dear Members of the Vincentian Family,
As you know since NOVEMBER 2006 all the branches of the Family have been signed up through the VMP to the LIVESIMPLY PROJECT.
This project, sponsored by CAFFOD & Progressio and supported by the Bishops of England & Wales, marks the 40th anniversary of Populorum Progressio.
This encyclical of Paul VI calls us to justice and a simpler lifestyle so that the world might be a more even playing field especially for the people of the developing nations.
There are at least 3 practical things that your branch of the Family can foster among your members:

A Livesimply Event called “SPLASHOUT” has been arranged by the Vincentian Millennium Partnership (VMP) in collaboration with YOUTH SVP for around 70 of its members from 10am-3pm on Thursday, 26th April 2007 in St Swithun’s Parish Hall , Waverley Road, Southsea, Hampshire. The aim of the day is to raise awareness and appreciation of our use of water and then look at how we can support the people of Chepnyal, Kenya who are trying to get access to clean water by building wells.
