PROJECT ORSIGNY is our rural, country experience of service to the poor in the hills of Missouri.
Project Orsigny is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people who can’t do it on their own. People who struggle to get by.
The people we will be helping are in many ways the truly forgotten of America–because they are hidden in the rural hills away from civilization. No one sees them.
By the time our 5 days are up we will have not only seen some of the most needy people, but we will have served them as well–hauling, cleaning, building, patching, painting–whatever it is they need.
Remember the great quote from St. Francis:
“Preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ–and if
you must, use words.”
Well, following Francis’ lead, let’s just say that Project Lazare is all about keeping quiet.
We have scheduled it on over the 4th of July to take advantage of the holiday (Monday).
