The international site of the Daughters of Charity celebrates 25 years of their presence in Korea.On 12 November 2004, the Daughters of Charity in Korea officially opened its year long celebration of the 25th year of DC presence in Korea. The first Daughters came to Korea on 11 April 1975 from Japan, but it was only two years later on 27 December 1980 that the first community was formed. It was part of the Japan Province until 1995 when it was integrated into the Province of the Philippines.
