The Vincentian Studies Institute of the United States of America is pleased to announce the publication of a new biography of Sister Rosalie Rendu, entitled:

Sister Rosalie Rendu: A Daughter of Charity on Fire with Love for the PoorAuthored by Louise Sullivan, D.C., this title is the first definitive biography of Sister Rosalie Rendu. In 19th Century Paris, her works of charity in the Mouffetard District for those who were poor, her works benefiting women and children, her tireless efforts during the cholera epidemic and along the barricades during times of revolution, and, of course, her collaborations with Frédéric Ozanam, earned Sister Rosalie the love of an entire nation.

This book celebrates Sister Rosalie’s life, works, and ultimately her beatification on 9 November 2003. Its 456 pages, filled with documentation and colorful illustrations, are sure to become the work of reference on the life of this remarkable woman.

This exciting new work is scheduled to be released on March 10th, 2007.

Through the end of March, the Vincentian Heritage Department Bookstore is now offering the book for a special pre-order price of $32.00 per copy. Orders can be placed through our web site at:
