– Last year’s Vinnies Awareness Week, in western Sydney, was a great success. This year the Society expects an even greater success. Vinnies Week aims to promote community awareness of the growing demand for assistance, the St Vincent de Paul Society’s wide range of services throughout the Parramatta diocese, and as well raise much needed funds to enable the Society to continue this work. The event will be conducted over a 10 day period, Thursday–Sunday, August 19–29. The Parramatta diocese embraces a large territory, covering the Blue Mountains, Warragamba, Bringelly, Guildford and Wiseman’s Ferry.
