Australiant SSVDP opens 3.1 million shelter for Homeless men.ADELAIDE, February 24, 2003 (theadvertiser.news.com.au): A $3.1 million shelter for homeless men was opened in Whitmore Square, Adelaide, yesterday. Social Justice Minister Stephanie Key said the State and Federal Government-funded Vincentian (St Vincent de Paul Society) Shelter was a “significant lifestyle improvement for Adelaide’s homeless men”. It was hoped the new St Vincent de Paul Centre would make its residents feel better about themselves “and that in turn may help them secure permanent accommodation”.
