Executive Director PositionThe Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an international Catholic charitable organization, invites applications for the position of Executive Director of the Council of the United States. The position is based in St. Louis, Missouri. The position involves directing, coordinating and supporting the charitable works of the Society in the United States, and coordinates with Society members worldwide.
Responsibilities involve the direction, supervision and day-to-day management of the national office. Directs the support of national committees that provide members the capability to effectively serve the poor. Supports the implementation of the national strategic plan. Serves as the focal point for collaborative activities with other organizations. Oversees communications programs with internal and external constituents. Manages national budget and supervises national fundraising program.
The position requires: Proven ability to direct, motivate and manage personnel. Ability to plan, organize and successfully execute the programs and support activities of the organization. Understanding of all aspects of the financial management process of a large charitable organization. Record of successfully supervising fundraising activities. Communications skills to represent the Society in various mediums. Management style that fosters a caring and supportive work environment. Understands the application of communications and information systems technology. Requires traveling.
