On 3 December, the Curia House was host to the year-end meeting of the archivists of religious Congregations in Rome. Fr. Rolando DelaGoza, Archivist and Procurator General, presented a short paper on “Archivists: Starting from Scratch,” which outlined the various steps in starting an archives: gather all materials, identify the containers, number and describe roughly their contents, transfer materials into more suitable and accessible boxes, and sort the materials. After an exchange of questions and answers, the group held a business meeting and planned for the year 2003.
