Towards a joyful and close freedom!
Taking advantage of an extraordinary donation from the National Council of France of the Society to the International Council General, the President General, together with the President of the French Society, decided yesterday, during the Permanent Section, to set aside half (that is to say 50.000 Euros) of the important donation received from France for the first participation for the creation of a Fund that will serve of endowment basis to the future International Ozanam Foundation. Every Brother or Sister, Conference or Council that wishes to do so, may contribute with their donations.
As all the Brothers and Sisters of the world know it, the President General endeavours to constitute soon a Foundation that essentially devotes itself to the study of new poverty, to the contribution of the lay people within the Church’s life since the foundation of the Conferences of Saint Vincent de Paul as well as to the training of the Brothers and Sisters who have some responsibilities in the national and international service of the S.S.V.P.
