DAY FOUR
“The Fourth Day of the Provincial Assembly was dominated by the election of a new Provincial for the Province with the major part of the morning spent in prayer and discernment. The process of election was one of preferential voting. Fr Greg Cooney CM was elected as the new Provincial of the Australian Province with a clear majority on the first ballot. The election is subject to ratification by the Superior General Fr Bob Maloney CM and his Council. Fr Greg will take office on January 1, 2003.”
