Vincentian Priests and Bothers in the Australian Province (Australia and Fiji) will be attending a Provincial Assembly at Marsfield, Sydney during the week commencing Monday June 25. The focus of the Assembly will be strategic planning for the Province, and the election of a Provincial for the next six years.PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY – AUSTRALIA – DAY ONE

The Vincentian Provincial Assembly for the Australian Province of the Vincentians began this morning at 10 am with the celebration of Eucharist in St Anthony’s Church Marsffield. Fr Maurice Sullivan CM, Provincial, was the principal celebrant. Concelebrants included Fr Robert Maloney CM, Superior General, Fr Victor Bieler CM, Assistant to the Superior General, and the confreres of the Australian Province.
After the celebration of Eucharist, the confreres moved to Curzon Hall, the former St Joseph’s Seminary, Eastwood, where the introductory formalities of the Assembly commenced. The afternoon was spent in examining the Strategic Plan of the Province for the next few years. The afternoon sessions were facilitated by Dr Maureen Cleary.
DAY TWO OF THE PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY, held at Curzon Hall, Marsfield, Sydney, commenced with Morning Prayer. During the morning sessions and the first session in the afternoon, the Assembly considered various aspects of the Strategic Plan of the Province. In the last session of the afternoon Fr Bob Maloney CM (Superior General) led the Assembly in a Reflection on opportunities for Creativity in the Congregation of the Mission Today.
