The Governing Body of VSI (Visitors & Visitatrixes) approved or confirmed the following membership appointments:
· Fr. Edward Udovic, C.M. (Midwest Province) (4th three-year term as Presiding Officer and 4th five-year term as a VSI Member)
· Fr. Joseph Hubbert, C.M. (Eastern Province) (4th five-year term as a VSI Member)
· Sr. Francine Brown, D.C. (East Central Province) (2nd five-year term as a VSI Member)
· Fr. Stephen Minkiel, C.M. (New England Province) (1st five-year term as a VSI Member)
· Dr. Simone Zurawski of DePaul University (1st five-year term as the first lay VSI Member)
VSI reported on the following activities:
· VSI published two of the three issues of Vincentian Heritage as well as one monograph of the Monograph Series as specified in the strategic plan for publications.
· VSI will republish “Come Wind and High Water” by Sr. Elizabeth Charpy, D.C. (A popular biography of St. Louise de Marillac.)
· VSI approved a Vincentian Research Grant for “Handing on the Charism: An Oral History Project at the College of St. Elizabeth” (Morristown, NJ).
· The VSI will sponsor a two-week Vincentian Heritage Trip to France in August 2003.
