The Central Board of the Society of St. Vincent dePaul is pleased to announce the appointment of Sister Maureen McGuire, DC, as the new Spiritual Advisor to the CGI Board. Sister Maureen belongs to the Daughters of Charity in the Saint Louise-USA Province in Missouri, USA.
She is presently the Executive Vice-President, Mission Integration, Ascension Health Alliance, and Senior Vice- President, Mission Integration, Ascension Health. In this role, she provides leadership in creating strategy and initiatives in Mission and Values integration, workplace spirituality, ethics, leadership formation and spiritual care. Her work supports the efforts of Health Ministry CEOs, Vice-Presidents for Mission Integration and executive teams in their leadership of Ascension Health as a ministry continuing the healing mission of Jesus. Among her
several works and involvements, she was a Seminary Directress and has a good knowledge of Vincentian texts and the promotion of the Vincentian spirit.
Sister Maureen’s appointment is for a period of two years till 26 September 2014. She will also serve as a member in the CGI Formation & Development Commission. We warmly welcome Sister Maureen to the CGI Board. This is the first time in the 180-year history of the Society that we have a Daughter of Charity as a Spiritual Advisor to the CGI Board.
The CGI Board wish to express our appreciation and thanks to Fr. Audace Manirambona, CM, who has completed his two-year term as Spiritual Advisor. We wish him well and our prayers that the Holy Spirit will continue to guide and enlighten him in his ministry in the Congregation of the Mission.
