Did you know Murphy was an optimist? At least that is what Callaghan’s Corollary to Murphy’s Law states.
We all know that computer equipment can fail but it always happens some one else. (Raise your hand if you thought it could never happen to you!)
Unfortunately, the famvin project was hit with a perfect storm that lasted two days forcing postponement of our Vincentian Family Virtual Gathering on April 28.
Fortunately we can reschedule the event to May 5 same time and “place”
We hope you can make it.
All the instructions you will need can be found at http://mobile.vinfamily.org/may-5-2012/
By way of refresher …
For six weeks a group of trail-blazers have been scouting out the possibilities of using mobile devices in the service of feeding the hungry, visiting the sick and imprisoned, sheltering the homeless and more. The conversation continueshttp://mobile.vinfamily.org. It’s not too late to join in, or simply catch up.
Digital media has transformed the world in the last 15 years. Did you realize that currently more than half the world is connected to the Internet via mobile phones?
This opens up unprecedented opportunities for us to connect, live out our faith, and have spiritual conversations with people across town, across the country, and across the world in ways that were never before possible.
Mobile devices can help us be more effective in meeting direct needs, providing a voice for the marginalized, and looking at underlying causes and long-term solutions to the problems Jesus reminds us were important to him. Increasingly, people on the margins of society can benefit from, and indeed need, mobile phones to survive. Matthew  25 was one of Vincent de Paul’s favorite passages.
To join us from your desktop, laptop, tablet computer or phone, start by visiting http://mobile.vinfamily.org/may-5-2012/ (simple: click on the link). There you will find the details on how to join the conversation and take part in the gathering. No pre-registration required.
