This past weekend young men interested in discerning their vocation got what was probably an unanticipated privilege – sharing their discernment process with the Superior General. Father Gregory Gay was passing through on his way to other meetings in the US and spontaneously sat in on the sessions sharing some of his mission experiences . A number of other confreres also shared their mission stories.
Gathering at a Campus Ministry Vocation workshop they represented people from the various ministries of the Eastern Province – Greensboro, Baltimore, Philly, Brooklyn. There was a common denominator: “we want to know more about Vincent and the Vincentians”. Astor Rodriquez writes, “Hopefully this “get to know us” weekend gave them all a taste of who we are and what we do; enough to continue on their journey, along with many others who are discerning their call. Trieu, Feliz, Martin, Niko, Charlie, Mario, Anthony, Jude and John, please know are prayers are with you.”
It was probably an experience they will long remember regardless of how they move forward in their life journey’s.
