VinFormation presents a special feature in honor of the Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati to celebrate their establishment 160 years ago. Mother Margaret Farrell George. Her life has amazing parallels with the life trials of Elizabeth Ann Seton and Louise de Marillac. She married in 1807. But she was widowed in late 1808 and buried a newborn daughter in early 1809. She eventually led a group of Sisters of Charity in forming the diocesan Sisters of Charity of Cincinnati and was elected first Mother of the community in 1853.
