Vinnies helping with jobs and disposal of e-waste

VincentCare in Victoria announced that disability employment service Ozanam Enterprises is partnering with Mornington Peninsula Shire (south of Melbourne) and Solo Resource Recyclers to help reduce landfill in the local area through e-recycling. Ozanam Enterprises has recently started receiving electronic waste via Solo Resource Recyclers from Council transfer stations. Staff, who have a disability, break down the goods such as computers and televisions into parts and commodities including plastic and metal, which are then sold to commercial recyclers.  [Read Media Release] ( Story found on the Australian CM site.)
