Welcome to  the dePaulWYD blog sharing our time at the Vincentian Youth Gathering prior to World Youth Day.

I’m Fr. Dennis Holtschneider from DePaul University, wearing the dark blue shirt, third-from-the-right in the front row. (click image to enlarge or the dePaul blog link) Fr. Chris Robinson (far right, light blue shirt) and Rob Gilmore (far left, dark shirt) organized the trip with our student leaders.   DePaul University has brought 16 students to the 3-day gathering of Vincentian Youth that precedes World Youth Day.  Most of these students started their trip by volunteering with the DC’s in London, seeing the Vincentian sites in Paris, and then spending a week in prayer at Taize.  Many are leaders in our Catholic Campus Ministry program.  We couldn’t be prouder!   (Please pardon the picture quality throughout.  I’m working with a cell phone.)
