SYDNEY: The big retail stores in Sydney are not the only one experiencing a downturn in spending at the moment. Dr Andy Marks, senior researcher for the St VIncent de Paul Society says that rising interest rates, accommodation shortages, and steep food and electricity costs have meant people were keeping a close eye on their spending this and this is reflected in their fundraising results.
