The blog, Daughters of Charity in Gaza, reports, “We  (at the Saint Vincent home for severely disabled children) start Christmas with this mass a long and intense preparation path leading us to the feast today.” The parishioners, even in the midst of suffering, like all other residents of Gaza, were particularly involved in the preparations. We not only prepared the crèche in the Church, but have participated in many meetings and pastoral encounters, visited homes, especially the sick.

In Gaza “Catholic nuns, Arab caregivers, an ultra-Orthodox teacher and volunteers from many foreign countries make up the staff of the Saint Vincent home for severely disabled children in Ein Karem – a small haven of pure humanity, where race and religion do not matter.”
