The SVDP National Council of Slovenia has been awarded a 30.000 $US Start Up grant as part of the Vincentian Family’s Systemic Change Initiative(link no longer available)for their project “Reintegration Community” for the homeless and former addicts.
The aim of the project is to help homeless people and former addicts after discharge from rehabilitation establishments to reintegrate successfully into society. Initially 5 participants will take part in the project. Together they will renovate a house in order to set up a domestic support service for the elderly as well as a Daytime Centre for the Homeless. This will guarantee self-sufficiency of the project.
