“Jubilee year was a rare and remarkable occasion for the Confreres and Daughters of Charity in the Southern Indian Provinces to come together.
We had already two batches of Retreat and Seminar together in March at sisters’ Retreat House at Hallehalli, Bangalore and the feast day celebration of St. Louise de Marillac.
As planned, the next two batches of Retreat and Seminar were arranged at Priests’ Home, Belwadi, Mysore from September, 8 to 15 and 19 to 26.
Many of our confreres and daughters of charity attended the retreat and seminar. Both Retreats were preached by Rev. Fr. James Chellapurath V.C.
The seminar sessions were enriched by
- Rev. Fr. Varghee Thottamkara C.M on Vincentian Leadership,
- Rev. Sr. Maria D.C on the Spirituality of St. Louise de Marillac,
- Rev. Fr. Vincent Edakkarot C.M on St. Vincent and Liturgy,
- Rev. Fr. Anil Karackavayalil C.M on Vincentian Spirituality for Today: Our Mission, Scope and Challenges and
- Rev. Fr. Shajan Pudussery C.M on Financial Management of St. Vincent.
These were days of renewal and deepening of Vincetnian commitment. Finally we had the concluding celebration of the Jubilee with the feast day celebration of St. Vincent de Paul.
