The Vincentian Family in the Philippines is counting the days by engaging in a nation-wide series of Saturday pilgrimages.  For nine Saturdays masses will sponsored by the different branches of the Vincentian Family. The Liturgy committee prepared nine themes capsulizing the key events in the life of St. Vincent and St. Louise for the pilgrimage masses. Similar activities held in the regions went beyond the groups and institutions associated with the Vincentian family and included barangays and other local communities in a spirit of celebration.
The Jubilee Logo unifies the Vincentian family nationwide as it travels with a symbolic ritual of turnover from one branch to another.

A Walk for Charity for the VFCC 350th Project by the Alumni and Parents of Adamson University and the DC schools/institutions is scheduled on September 18 at 6:00am.
A souvenir program is being published to capture the highlights of the Heritage, Celebration and Projects of the Jubilee year. Included is a feature on each branch of the Vincentian family. Lastly, the 350th death anniversary of St. Vincent and St. Louise is culminated with a simultaneous 3 o’clock pm mass in the local communities/regional gatherings nationwide.

His Eminence Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales is main celebrant and His Excellency Edward Joseph Adams, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines will give his message to the Vincentian family on September 27 during the 3 o’clock Eucharistic celebration at the Metropolitan Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception. A number of Bishops from the Dioceses where the Vincentian family is currently present have acceded to the invitation to be concelebrants at the mass. After the mass, a cocktail reception will be held tendered at the Villa Immaculada as a way of saying thank you to special guests and heads and members of the Vincentian Family.

The Jubilee year is almost over but it was truly grand because it was “a year of grace and for those we love a year of many blessings.” Thank you, St. Vincent and St. Louise. Your legacy of Charity and Mission lives on.
