Counting down the days to September 27 in the Philippines

How does one anticipate a closure of such a significant event? Inspired by the March 6-14 pilgrimage masses in honor of St. Louise in the nine local houses of the Daughters of Charity in the National Capital Region, a nation-wide Saturday pilgrimage mass for nine days sponsored by the different branches of the Vincentian Family was launched on July 31 and will end on September 25 in various places in Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The Liturgy committee prepared nine themes capsulizing the key events in the life of St. Vincent and St. Louise for the pilgrimage masses. Similar activities held in the regions went beyond the groups and institutions associated with the Vincentian family and included barangays and other local communities in a spirit of celebration.
