According to African Views on Global News when corporate giants choose to make community-based CSR truly responsible, then there is cause for real celebration. Julius Berger PLC, a construction giant, reached out to the Hope Centre (Nigeria) run by Daughters of Charity as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives donating one million Naira to the Home without pomp and ceremony.
One of the Home’s staff put it “One million Naira is really a very big amount and it would go a long way in taking care of the needs of the Home and the inmates.” Since its foundation, the Daughters of Charity has remained a beacon of hope for diverse people with wide ranging needs. CSR has been a beacon of hope for the Daughters.
