Celebrating the merger of two branches

In a special celebration on May 22 2010,  the Sisters of Charity Nazareth and the the Vincentian Sisters of Charity celebrated  “Unity in Mission and Ministry”.  “After years of dialogue, discernment and discussion, 109 Vincentian Sisters of Charity transferred their vows to become Sisters of Charity of Nazareth on Nov. 15, 2008. At the time of the merger, there were 605 Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.” The Pittsburgh Post Gazette features the merger of two branches of the Vincentian Family. See also the SCN site.
